Triumph scrambler

After months of weighing up the options of which bike to buy next (KTM 690 SUPERMOTO or TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER)the triumph came out on top,it was the lure of something just a bit different and it certainly attracts attention !I the supermoto bug is still there but that will have to wait for now ,The scrambler has the Triumph off road pipes which sound fantastic ,especially through the tunnels ,being a twin it is very smooth around the 70-80 mph mark, the suspension is something to be desired but hopefully a set of progressive springs will sort that out, anyway I'm pleased with it so far and had a fair bit of rain dodging to do what with our wounder full English summer we are having this year.

Check point Surrey !!!

In between the showers me Alan and Keith managed a run along the usual routes, stopped off for a break at the Kent surrey boarder for passport checks . The CCM needs a few adjustments ,suspension is one ! the rear is too soft and front to hard......... or maybe its a case of too many Dougnuts .

A COSMETIC RE-VAMP

Summers almost here so time for a bit of a spring clean and a tidy up of the bike ,after 2 years of ownership and 3 uk winters a bit of a change was need , fork shrouds removed ,crash bars gone and a new mudguard added ,i think it freshens it up quite nicely and gives it a bit of a lean look compared to the standard bike .

A cosmetic update

Ok new bits to date, the handle bar grips have been change for a set of grey and black two tone progrips, these are a very soft compound compared to the original.
Another set of barend mirrors have been added also as the previous set where to fragile and buzzed to much to be effective ,a pair of motrax ones now adorn the bike and........................ they are excellent ,visibility at all times, the only problems is when filtering through traffic ,i will have to be a bit careful.
I have also got round to changing the tank panels for a set with no decals on and i have added some mesh panels to the panels cut out sections.
Engine wise i have had the engine set up on a dyno with a custom map,mid range punch has improved and the low down surging has almost disappeared.
