I met up with a few old faces from the CCM Forum the other day and thought i would show them a proper off road bike ( lol) , had to decline their generous offer of a run down the twisties due to the pogo springs on the Triumph ,also they are a bunch of loons

Brighton burn up 2008

2008 Brighton burn up

2008 Brighton burn up

After a god awful summer the sun has finally shown its face !
So after a quick wash and polish (the bike not me)did i say quick........ 4 hours later to remove last months crud from the constant wet weather and a route planned for the following day. I decided to make a bit of day so i stayed off the motorways and made my way down the A21 and A26 , which was a good decision with very little traffic on the roads, one thing i must do is sort out the primitive suspension back and front ! this caused a few hairy moments with some poorly surfaced sections.Any way here`s some pictures of the day .

Triumph scrambler

After months of weighing up the options of which bike to buy next (KTM 690 SUPERMOTO or TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER)the triumph came out on top,it was the lure of something just a bit different and it certainly attracts attention !I the supermoto bug is still there but that will have to wait for now ,The scrambler has the Triumph off road pipes which sound fantastic ,especially through the tunnels ,being a twin it is very smooth around the 70-80 mph mark, the suspension is something to be desired but hopefully a set of progressive springs will sort that out, anyway I'm pleased with it so far and had a fair bit of rain dodging to do what with our wounder full English summer we are having this year.

Check point Surrey !!!

In between the showers me Alan and Keith managed a run along the usual routes, stopped off for a break at the Kent surrey boarder for passport checks . The CCM needs a few adjustments ,suspension is one ! the rear is too soft and front to hard......... or maybe its a case of too many Dougnuts .

A COSMETIC RE-VAMP

Summers almost here so time for a bit of a spring clean and a tidy up of the bike ,after 2 years of ownership and 3 uk winters a bit of a change was need , fork shrouds removed ,crash bars gone and a new mudguard added ,i think it freshens it up quite nicely and gives it a bit of a lean look compared to the standard bike .
